In the twilight of the CRT TV era, I made one that could fly. The affordability of flat screens relegated these antiques to street trash. In June the second generation iPhone was released, August saw Facebook hit 100 million users, in September Lehman Brothers filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and in November Barack Obama was elected the 44th president of the United States. The breakneck speed of change was dizzyingly palpable.
